What is the difference between a high-side and low-side motorcycle accident?

I think shaunthesheep can't stay away has answered your question.

A high-side is where the bike suddenly regains traction after beginning to skid and spits the rider over the bike. The rider typically exits on the high side of the bike the side not closest to the ground.
A low-side is simply where the bike loses traction and skids into the ground with the rider remaining on the low side of the bike the side closest to the ground.

never had a high side but have uncounted 2 low sides.

I only just started in this whole motorcycle thing in summer of 1999. When I started out, I kept seeing these terms used by the motorcycle papers, which everyone was supposed to understand. Naturally, it took me months of further reading before I figured out what was going on, and in some cases, I didn't understand until I actually owned and rode a bike for the first time, in November of '99.
It was a Sunday afternoon going round a island just before sunset, massive damage to the bike, sore ego and an expensive repair job.

    Still learning now.

learning too ride a motorcycle is an " ongoing proccess " wer'e ALL going through it EVERY time we " cock our legs over " respect .

be riding ( on the road ) for 33yrs , and things still " pop up " ( snigger ) that makes ya think ( " shit !! i coulda done that different " or " i really screw that up " ) then ya think , i wont do that stupid trick again , so its a learning proccess .

ride safe d00d , and enjoy Bow

oh ! btw , i gorra spare coil for a firestorm & a black box
