susspention linkage on the firestorm has seized ( well the one pin/bearing ) stripped all the linkage yesterday , identified the offending one ( well it was the only one that wouldnt come out ) hammered it with a big hammer ..no fuckin way ...wont budge ( not very technical i know Smile

)

what too do next with it ??? well !!!! gorra take it all apart again ..( put it back together yesterday to use it ) ..remove swing arm ..take it to me lads workshop ..try and press it out with hydraulic press ...

in the meantime , order parts to be replaced ..

f*ck**g nightmare bikes am .. :lmfao

done it weeks ago .. ( just noticed i got a few piccies of the " fix " on me camera ).. had too rush the whole process coz i needed too use the bike .. parts cost £45 .. thats ....

2 x dust seals

2 x needle roller bearings

1 x bush

1 x pin & nut

susspention ( at the 1 point ) was TOTALLY corroded up , the pin wouldnt come out , even with heavy hammer blows , SO its a " strip down the fuckin lot and take it too the workshop too be pressed out " ..took it to workshop , put it on the press and applied 3 ton of pressure , the pin was so corroded in that it actually ( and it took 3 ton of pressure ) pushed the needle rollers out corroded to the long bush ...the pin was still in ...

anyway ..replaced the linkage with all new bits ..greased everything up .. susspention is sweet as the softness of a young black childs bottom now ...

the offending object ( the pin that runs through the black , freshly sprayed , linkage , c/w bushes ect ect ) fuckin bikes m a nightmare

the tee shaped linkage was a bit of a b*stard too come out anawl .. nut rounded off , had too use a stub-allen key in a breaker bar and remove it that way .. managed to find another nut luckily .. so greasedall the bushes in that f*ck*r anawl ( see piccy below )
