Tried hard but seems unsuccessful........ should I close it down and save a few quid......?

Forums take time to be good but f*ck me I post as much as I can.

Anyway if you guys think it should close thanks for all your efforts and good luck for the future.

It'll pick up when everyones out on their bikes again, its been a long, shitey cold boring winter, so we're ready for a decent spring and summer me thinks!! No-ones got any money either........

I LOVE Ironbridge, lots of happy memories, one or two I couldnt possibly repeat.....Lovely part of the country :-) am heading to Shropshire on wednesday meself!

Had an evening rideout there last year and sat in a pub having a coke, cant remember what it was called, but was next to the river, Blists hill end....

Sites do need time to develop but they also need a level of support in their early days.

I often log in to find nothing has been added since my last visit and so I log out again.

It would be a shame for it to close so soon but as I said before 'Use it or lose it'.

Like she said John, it'll pick up again when the season kicks off.

I bet you'll find that most bike sites are a bit slow in the "off" season.

Stick at it m8, it'll get going again. Great site this is, done a smashin job with the site you have. No need to give admin-in away, it'll run it's self even if you can only stick yer face in now and then.

if yer feeling the pinch ( i know what that is , coz im right skint now ) sell one of them tractors ya got ... or cut down on things ( like expensive shampoo )

eat sensibly ....like fresh and wholesome vegtables, very cheap at ASDA .

forget yer 85oz steaks , get " economy burgers " from Iceland .. ( Iceland the shop , NOT actually Iceland the island , although they prolly have got an Iceland in Iceland .

dunno if you've got an Iceland ( shop ) near ya ...ill take a look and post it up .

expensive clothes ..well !!!!! ( silk purse & sows ear springs too mind ) a bloke your age dont need that shitt , they do a good range of decent garb in ASDA george ( no im not working for/ plugging ADSA )

thought about " downsizing " yer house ??? do ya need those extra bedrooms ??? , get some extra dollars by chopping it in for a 1 bedroom bedsit ( dont have too belike one of them grubby affairs ya get in east London ) there are some nice ones around

try doing less trackdays / try not too make unnessessary journeys in your car too save fuel ...

use a cheaper brand of toilet tissue ( bog roll ) forget that " blown " panzy stuff , get the cheaper stuff ... some thing that gets to " grip " with the waste .

Hi John,
I'm one of the worst here for not putting the effort in. Between work and home life I don't get much time to play on the internet.

If it's a financial decision how about looking at the number of members on the site against the cost of running it. I know I'd be happy to put a few quid towards running it, and I'm sure plenty would.

Don't lose heart, this was a brave move to show the idiots on MCN that you don't need them, and there are plenty there who respect you for it.

If it does close, consider coming back over to MCN - there's room for everyone, and I for one would welcome you back to save me looking at both sites to keep up.

Thanks for the imput guys and gals.......it's not a money issue I just thought folk was losing Interest not posting.

SHAD......Many times I rush things feeling impatient it should be better,again forgetting folk have other things to do.....so thanks for all the people that made an effort of posting.

BOG ROLL....... Honestly did a test brought the expensive stuff and kept an eye on useage,then brought the cheapo stuff lasted twice as long as the expensive stuff,just not double quilted so a bit rough on the........well you know.

on a serious note youve done a brill job and should be proud it wll get better with more members but the members will come over time, just look at mcn and they must have thousands of members but on a good day theres only 60 people on it so dunt lose heart .
