Well yesterday I had a 210 mile pootle around the Elan Valley, Aberystwyth and back home via Bala and Llandegla - quietish roads with not too many pillocks let loose.

Although the twat in an open-topped BMW who told me to 'slow down' when I was doing around 40mph nearly got a return visit but the chill factor won through in the end.

Currently slashing down here so no riding but a possible walk is in the offing.

There were lots of your relatives all over the roads on the tops - but they are more traffic savvy than their Scottish counterparts.

It was a cracking day out - temperature just right, roads a bit bumpy but mostly empty - enough cars intimidated kind enough to move over and let me pass wazzer
