Vishy Anand was fuckin superb today ( playing white ) took the game by the balls , and although behind on material , launched an all out attack on Topalov .. at the end Topalov resigned as checkmate was inevitable ..or at the least the loss of his queen .. Anand was Awesome ... rest day tommorra ( thursday ) cant fuckin wait for friday ... topalov playing white , a draw here for Anand would be crushing for Topalov ...so i recon its gonna be all guns blazing ...

game 5 was much in the same vein as game 3 ..with queens being exchanged early on in the game , with all the play on the queenside of the board .. Topolov ( white ) was desperate for the win ..unfortunatly Anand was solid in defence ...nice tight game was played by black .. few attacking chances by white ..and the game fizzled out to a draw . 1/2 1/2 ..

Anand ( white tommorra ) will be looking for the win again ..this will take him ( if he wins ) to a 4-2 lead ..with 6 games left ..looking good for Anand so far ... but dont write off Topalov .. A WIN ( or indeed a draw ) as black tommora , would set the stage for a right old war in the remaining 6 games ...bring it on !!!!!

game 8 , saw Topalov with the white pieces , desperate for a win that would tie the match at 4 - 4 going into the last 4 games .. and on the back of 3 consecutive games being drawn ..boy - o - boy did he turn the screw ..not so much of a attacking massacre , but a slow drawn out game of attrition , from move 18 , when Topalov came out of the opening book , he ground down Anand slowly , turning the screw , squeezing the lifeblood outta Anands defence .. and with 2 opposite coloured bishops on the board , and with a pawn advantage on the kingside ..Anand resigned .. a days rest now ..and Anand has to come up with something special thursday ( as white )
