Racing days? for Learner drivers.

Hey im looking into track days but i havnt passed my full test yet as i am waiting for when im 21 to pass my test, it wold be nice to get my bike on a track so that i dont have to "race" it on the public roads. i would like to ride on tracks as this may improve my skills on the road and also get to know my new bike better.

Before you can take part in any racing or race around any racing you must obtain a race licence from the Auto Cycle Union (ACU). A licence costs around £25 per year.

It involves a medical,eye test and so forth,if anyone tell you that you need to be involved with in a club its untrue.

Here on motorcycle newbies we are going to do track days when the weather is better and more than welcome to come with us.

I think I can put down weasel,mickster,lucas and a few others to come along...?
We took along a young lad called Adam who was only 15 at the time,he applied for his ACU Licence and rode about Donington with us.

When you get your ACU licence I will personally take you around Doninginton race track OR any other racing BSB Track and show you the racing lines.
I find it very rewarding and most enjoyable done all the Ron Haslam race schools,California super bike etc,there worth looking into but quite exspensive.

i live in devon atm but im sure ill find a way to come up just one more thing, will i be using my bike or do i have to use another one that will be more powerfull so i can keep up with the rest

You can use your own bike,I take it you haven't been riding long?

If so you need to learn to ride it first off,I doubt very much if you will be able to keep up with some guys,besides to will be in the Novice group to start with.

well this is my 3rd bike lol iv rode a 50 and a 2 stroke 125, didnt pick up many girls tho ,
but this ones is as borat puts it, "a pussy magnet!" just a question on that ACU webiste it says that at 17 i can ride Up to Formula 600 or Supersport 600 specification machine so does that meen i can ride a 600cc say r6? round a track?

Don't really know,I haven't reviewed the website for over 2 years since young Adam come with us,still! He has not passed his test and has acquired an ACU Licence just last week to ride a kwak 600 so I guess you can do so.

comes like it from yammy, erm its the yzf r125 team racing colours feel free to give it a search on google lol. apprntly MCN rated this bike (yzf r125 any colour) to be best 125 on the market. well im approtching its 600 mile run-in service and i must admit, going from a 2 stroke to a 4 stroke its quiet impressive for power.

My mates yzf (reson for buying) would out pull mine. pluse it sounds like the dogs nackers.

Yeah know the feeling of getting excited,still after many years......It will be the same again when the sun comes out,snow has cleared and were all ready to ride again.
