How old does a bike have to be to be exempt from road tax?
Geezer comes to work on a bike,only looks about 14 years old could it be tax exempt.

Free Road tax......................................

Hi, first off, it isn't Tax Exemption, it's free Road Tax. You must still display a current tax disc, which means that Insurance and MOT get checked, but if your vehicle (Car / Bike / Van etc.) was manufactured (as opposed to first registered) on or before 31st December 1972 then it can be registered as a Historic Vehicle and you pay nothing for the Tax Disc.

Hope this helps, sounds like your colleague is just riding an untaxed bike, or has chosen to keep the disc safe in his pocket rather than display it and risk it being stolen.

I got 3 lorry's 26 ton and 1 32 ton,both of them are road tax exempt.

Good job as well used too be £1200 a year for each one.
